| Hola!! This is Sandra. Welcome to my dearest Usuki city! When I came here to Usuki City it was the first place for me to see JAPON (Japan). It was not the lively city like now and there used to be nothing modern around here, however, I was very impressed by the wonderful landscape and Japanese style houses. When my friends come to Usuki, I certainly take them to see this Stone Buddha. I feel at ease when looking at the calm face of this Stone Buddha which matches the local landscape. My French friend was also impressed by saying, "It's so beautiful!" |

| Let me introduce you to the walking course around Ohama where my house is located. Going up the slope surrounded by trees, you can see the beautiful Usuki Bay. Dawn, dusk, on a full moon night, wherever you come here, you will be excited by this fantastic view. |

You can see Tsukumi Island and the ferry going back and forth in
the distance. |

| I am from the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. There, I was brought up surrounded by the sea and greenery, I love nature. When I came to the nature-filled Usuki Park for the first time, I was deeply moved. Cool in summer and beautiful autumn leaves in autumn are of course wonderful, but it's really worth seeing Usuki Park in the spring when the cherry trees are in full bloom all at once. |

 |
| About 1000 cherry trees are in their full glory in spring, and it becomes crowded with people enjoying the cherry blossoms. This is when the "Usuki Cherry Tree Festival" is held. |
