Joanne Tomooka
From New Zealand, Joanne came to Japan in 1996 as an
ALT. She worked for three years at elementary and junior
high schools in Yamaga for three years. She now lives
in Yamaga with her husband, whom she had met during
that time. A mother of two children, she continues
to pour her energy into cultural exchange through such
things as non-profit organization activities. |

Shohruhmirzo Hamrakulov
(nickname: Shoha)
A junior at APU, Shoha majors in sociology. Originally
from Uzbekistan, he has a deep interest in Japanese culture,to
the extent that one of his hobbies is learning Aikido.
This time he got to make traditional Japanese treats
and reported back to us on his experience. |
